DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE VERIFICATION STUDY
DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE
VERIFICATION STUDY
Objective:
To demonstrate
the capacity of Air Handling Unit to maintain room pressure differentials
within specified design limits.
Acceptance Criteria:
The room
differential pressures shall meet the design values as set for each room as
specified in table below.
Test Equipment:
Calibrated
differential pressure gauge.
Procedure:
1.
Switch
ON the AHU.
2.
The
test period will be over 3 days.
3.
Measurement
interval: Every day(3 times).
4.
AHU
and the relevant process equipment where there is potential impact on room
differential pressures are to be in continuous operation when performing these
tests(where possible).
5.
To
avoid unexpected changes in pressure and to establish a baseline, all doors in
the facility must be closed and no traffic is to be allowed through the
facility during the test.
6.
Ensure
that one end of the first tube to the higher-pressure side of the magnehlic
gauge is connected and other end of this tube in the area of lower pressure
side is placed.
7.
Next,
ensure that one end of the second tube to the lower pressure input side of the
magnehlic gauge is connected and other end of this tube in the area of lower
pressure side is placed.
8.
Record
any comments arising from the Room Pressure Differential Test in the comment
section, including details of all non-conformances discovered.
