TEMPERATURE & RELATIVE HUMIDITY MONITORING
TEMPERATURE &
RELATIVE HUMIDITY MONITORING
Objective:
To
demonstrate the capability of AHU to maintain room temperature and relative
humidity within the specified design limits.
Acceptance Criteria:
The room
temperature and relative humidity shall meet the design values as set for each
room.
Test equipment:
Thermo-hygrometers.
Procedure:
1.
Before
starting the study ensure that Air conditioning system is in continuous
operation for at least 24 hour prior to performing these tests.
2.
In
the area the temperature control zone shall be divided into grids of equal area
having dimensions of approximately 100 ft²(3m. X 3m. or 9m²). If the area is less than 100 ft²(3m. X 3m. or 9m²) temperature mapping shall be done at one location.
3.
In
small area the temperature monitoring shall be done at single location. If the
huge area it can be increased instead of 1 location.
4.
If
the storage racks are provided in the area, the number of locations shall be
distributed at top, middle and bottom level of racks. No. of temperature
locations can be increased as per study requirement .
5.
Monitoring
area with no. of locations to be monitored.
6.
Ensure
that the measuring instrument is in calibrated state with a valid calibration certificate.
7.
Distribution
studies shall be performed at working height level. Monitor the temperature and
relative humidity in all critical rooms, area for 3 days with an interval of 30
minutes for mapping with data loggers.
8.
Manually
monitor the temperature and relative humidity in all non-critical rooms area
for 3 consecutive days considering 3 times a day(During working shifts) with a
frequency of 4 hours.
